CAR OWNER CHECKLIST

When listing your car, to ensure your privacy we recommend that you cover your license plate from any photographs in your listing.

Your car is a valuable item. Its important that you get a copy of ALL relevant information from the prospective Driver.

 Here is a checklist:

1. Ask the Prospective Driver as many questions as possible.

2. Request a Driver History from the RTA or relevant road authority in your state.

3. Get the Driver to pay the first month in advance.

4. Print out 2 copies of the Lease-Out agreement.

5. Make sure that the driver signs the Lease-Out agreement & Car Inspection form BEFORE they take your car.

6. YOU MUST get a photocopy or at least visually see a valid drivers license

7. YOU MUST get a photocopy or at least visually see a valid credit card and check the name on the credit card matches the drivers license.

8. Double check all contact phone numbers - (we recommend that you get a mobile number and at least 2 landlines (ex. Home & Work) or a contact in the event of an emergency.

9. We recommend that you contact your car insurer and add the Drivers name to your insurance policy, as a nominated driver, for the duration of the Lease-Out period..
